Travel Visits

Travel visits should be scheduled at least 4 weeks prior to travel. We will discuss with you and your family, depending on the exact travel destination, the Center for Disease Control's recommendations for your visit. We can prescribe malaria prophylaxis as well as give Hepatitis A, Typhoid, and Yellow Fever vaccines. There is a $75 fee/per child for each travel visit, that is due at the time of the appointment and not able to be submitted to the insurance. We will submit the vaccines as a courtesy, however if your insurance should not cover them, patients' families will be responsible for any non-covered services/vaccines. For less commonly recommended vaccines you may need to go to a travel clinic.
