Saturday and Sunday Hours

Urgent sick visits available (see section below on how to schedule – Weekend/Holiday Urgent Sick Visits)

Evening and Weekend Urgent On-Call Doctor Assistance

One of our pediatricians is always on call for urgent medical problems on evenings and weekends. The doctor on call may be reached by calling 301.681.6730 and pressing “1”, then leaving a message. When leaving your return call phone number, be certain to say your telephone number twice, slowly, and clearly; make sure your phone is on and accessible to receive your return call – a land line is preferable to a cell phone for reliability and clarity.

Weekend/Holiday Urgent Sick Visits

Weekend visits can be arranged for urgently sick children. On weekends and holidays, the best time to call the doctor is between 8:00 am and 9:00 am to discuss the best way of obtaining care for your child. The doctor on call is reached by calling 301.681.6730 and pressing “1,” then leaving a message.

Telephone Advice and Assistance

Telephone assistance is available during our office hours. Call 301.681.6730. Our experienced pediatric nurses are available throughout the day for medical advice. For non-urgent questions, messages may be left for a doctor or nurse practitioner to return your call.

Prescription Refills

Prescription refills may be requested through the patient portal. If you have not yet signed up for the patient portal, please contact our office. Refills may also be requested by calling our office and leaving a message on our prescription refill voicemail. Please have available all information regarding the medication including dosage and pharmacy address or phone number. Allow two business days for prescription refills. More urgent requests can be handled by calling 301.681.6730 and asking to speak to a nurse.

Holidays

The office will be closed on the following days: New Year’s Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

For life-threatening emergencies, call “911” or proceed to the nearest emergency department.
